Important Notice for U.S. Customers: New U.S. Customs and Import Policy
Effective August 29, 2025, the U.S. government is eliminating the "de minimis" exemption for all imports. This means that all orders shipped to the United States, regardless of their value, may now be subject to customs duties, taxes, and a USPS handling fee.
What this means for your order:
  • Your package will be subject to inspection by U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP).
  • If duties and taxes are assessed, the U.S. Postal Service (USPS) will notify you that your package is being held at your local post office.
  • You will be required to pay the duties, taxes, and a separate USPS processing fee directly to the post office before you can receive your package.
  • This process may cause significant delays in delivery.
We strongly recommend checking with your local customs office to understand potential charges before placing an order. We are committed to transparency and appreciate your understanding of these new, U.S. government-mandated shipping regulations.


Store Pickup:
We do not offer store pickup options at this time.

Local Delivery:
For customers in Australia, we ship using Australia Post. At checkout, please enter your address and select your preferred shipping option. If you are within [insert distance] of our store, you may opt for local delivery. Should the local delivery option be unavailable at checkout, this indicates that your address does not qualify for this service.

Tracking Your Order:
You will be provided with real-time tracking information via email once your order is en route.

Shipping Rates:
Your shipping fees will be calculated and presented during the checkout process.

International Shipping:
We provide international shipping services. You can track your package using the tracking number from Australia Post provided with your orders email. It is your responsibility to stay informed about your package's delivery status. 48 Tools will not refund non-deliveries or returns due to uncollected packages or missed redelivery attempts.
International Orders and Liability:
Once your package reaches your country, it will transition from Australia Post to your local postal service. It is important to continue using the Australia Post tracking number we have provided to monitor your package via your local postal service's website. We recommend regularly checking this, as local postal services may not notify you directly about your package's status at customs or in the event of a failed delivery attempt. Failure to engage with your local postal service, not collecting your package before a return is initiated by them, or not settling any due import taxes can result in your package being returned. Under such conditions, 48 Tools will not bear responsibility for resending or refunding for orders that are returned.

International Orders and Liability:
48 Tools is not liable for the loss or damage of international orders once they have reached the destination country and are under the jurisdiction of local postal services or customs. Ownership transfers to the recipient upon the order's entry into the destination country.
